What will this course teach me?
Procedures of varying degrees of difficulty will be taught:
1. FHO
2. Tibial tuberosity avulsions
3. Tibia fixation with ExFix
4. Distal femoral Salter fractures
5. Ilium fractures
6. Femoral fractures
What else will I learn from this?
At the wet-lab, a brief review of each procedure will be carried out with any questions or outstanding queries answered by a board certified surgeon.
Each procedure will then be demonstrated on a cadaver before allowing you to perform each surgery yourself, under careful instructor guidance, to broaden your capabilities, hone your skills and give you the confidence to carry out these common orthopaedic operations.
What systems will I use?
Incorporated into the course, whilst working on a variety of different fractures and applications, such as pinning and wiring, you shall also become accomplished by the end of the course in using SOP™ locking plates and the KEFS® external fixation system
